Switzerland and it’s Geography
October 26, 2008 by Pegagus Pendrean

Switzerland is essentially a small country located in the heart of Europe. It has no direct access to the sea and is therefore landlocked.
Switzerland is notably famous for its alpine passes, mountains, scenic beauty, lakes, glaciers and swiss bank secrecy. There are more than 3,000 km² of glaciers and it hosts about 20% of the Alps mountains including about 100 peaks close to or higher than 4,000 meters (13,125 feet) above sea level. There are many large lakes including lakes Geneva, Zurich, Constanz and Neuchatel to hundreds of little lakes found in the mountains.
Swiss mountains are world-famous for climbing, skiing, snowboarding, biking, hiking and other recreational activities. And many mountain areas are well developed with trains, cog railways, aerial cable cars and other means of transportation.
